The Best Night Out in Chicago

Since you want to pace yourself in trying out that new online casino you’ve become wise to, the night can kick-off with a night about town. Chicago has some great entertainment to offer to the discerning adult, from the young adults who still have a bundle of energy to the more mature crowd, perhaps seeking to enjoy themselves at a much more leisurely pace.

Best Pub Grub Spots

You won’t have to drive more than a mile from UIC’s campus to have a killer burger, but downtown has grown so much that the close by burgers and brews are now pretty pricey. The Lucky Penny is a great neighborhood spot to enjoy a pint and a burger. The menu also features some interesting fusion fare. One of their burger options, the Hedgehog Special, is topped with onion rings, black pepper steak sauce, and gruyere cheese. Then top that off with a beer and you’re ready to dive into your sweet tooth. In the coming weeks, you can also try out some fusion fare from a vegetarian taco to duck fried chicken bites with sweet and sour sauce. The Lucky Penny is a local treasure that shouldn’t be missed.

Best Cocktail Bars

First up on my list is Soho House Chicago at 150 N LaSalle. This place is easily one of the coolest and trendiest spots in town. You can sit on the outdoor patio and enjoy some fresh cocktails with an eclectic mix of chefs and mixologists. There are literally no shortage of amazing bites here either, but we always suggest the chicken satay skewers. Another great spot to enjoy a cocktail in the downtown area is Sixteen. There’s a fun vibe, great food and drinks, and an even better vibe. There’s no shortage of amazing bites either. Try the fish tacos, red curry fried chicken, or the duck crepes.

Best Boutique Wine Shop

While I’m writing this post, I’m excited to think of all the great things I’ll discover at my upcoming wine tasting. While I could go on and on about my favourite spots for wine, I think it’s important to highlight one of the best stores that sells it in town. Stein’s Wine & Beer Store is tucked away at 3622 N Lincoln. It’s a fantastic location because you’ll be able to find wine that will suit all tastes. From balsamic vinegar to dessert wines, you’ll find it all here. The store is also a fantastic spot for people who want to show off their wine knowledge. There are wine quizzes that you can take, people who can help you pick out wine, and lessons and classes to go with it. This is one spot you won’t want to miss.

One of the best things about Chicago is that the food, drinks, and dining scene is so diverse. From Spanish tapas to Chinese cuisine, there’s something for everyone. If you have a new restaurant in the area, let me know in the comments below, and make sure to check back often for updates.
